monte piano trio
In 2009 Claude Frochaux founded the Monte Piano Trio together with pianist Anca Lupu and violinist Ana Feitosa. Later, Francesco Sica and Irina Botan became members of the trio. Within a short time, the trio could celebrate already several competition successes and enjoy an international concert agenda in major concert halls and festivals.
The trio has released two CDs on the Genuin Classics label to critical acclaim and is featured on the soundtrack of the documentary film “Maestro”, which explores the lives of young musicians through the eyes of Paavo Järvi. It had the honour, as Monte+, to premiere George Enescu’s rediscovered First Piano Quintet at the Enescu Museum Bucharest in 2015. The Monte Piano Trio arranged its own version of Asto Piazzolla’s Four Seasons for piano trio, which it also recorded.
